1 Corinthians 2:10
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
One of the favorable aspects of the game of basketball and football is the timeout option. It enables the coach to effectively communicate to the players when the need arises. When the game is about to end and the team needs to get a win…the coach calls a time out to give the final play strategy to the team, the coach makes sure he has his best players out there in the Field.
Time is coming to a close. Jesus is coming soon…the end of all things is at hand. Jesus is therefore calling a timeout. It’s a timeout to His church for worship, prayer and fellowship. He is calling His church to be spiritual so that we may know what the final game plan is. He wants to reveal to His church the things that he has purposed and desired to do in these last days. He wants to communicate what the involvement of every team member will be.
Paul in 2 Corinthians writes that no man can know the things of the spirit except the Spirit of God; therefore if we do not fellowship with Him, if we do not pray, we will not know the mind of God. As such we will be ineffective in the Kingdom of God.
1 Cor 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
We cannot know the things of the spirit if we are not spiritual. Let us heed the call for a timeout of worship ,prayer and fellowship. In these last days there is a need to allow our worship of God to be an everyday affair,we have to get to the place where our worship of God is reflected in our every plan and every desire,in how we conduct our overall lives…not just in what we say to Him.Our prayer lives also have to reflect what God desires from us we have to let God take charge in prayer, not only do we have to be lead by God everyday, even our prayer closets have to be where we allow Jesus to communicate His game plan.
In Hebrews 10:25 we are exhorted to hold dear fellowship with the brethren, more so when we see the day of Christ approaching.the body of Christ is given to complete us in our walk with Christ, there is a blessing that is reserved and will only be experienced and released in fellowship with the brethren.
